What is a CMS?

A CMS or Content Management System is simply a website that uses framework already coded E.g. Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, Magneto etc. One advantage of this, I like, is you can find plugins for each feature you wish to add to a website. For example, if I wish to put a gallery on my website I can upload a plugin to do just that. Without using an already written framework we would have to write them each ourselves, taking up a lot more time and costing you a lot more money. Freelance Solutions gives you the choice to manage and update your own website with Drupal, or if you prefer Wordpress or Joomla as a CMS that can be easily arranged. Although I strongly recommend Drupal, you are free to choose what CMS is used.

You don't have to learn a CMS (Content Management System), we will gladly make the changes for you, but these give you the opportunity to make changes without our help as one of several benefits to Drupal or any CMS. Our default CMS is Drupal, not only is it the one that the White House itself uses, along with companies like BBC, NBC, MTV UK, Amnesty International and the University of Oxford just for starters. We find it very user friendly and is certainly well-known as well as stable and has great security. May I add here there are literally 30,000+ plugins for the Drupal CMS. This means there is a lot of functionality that can easily be added to your website, and personally, I love it above all the others although I am somewhat biased as that is the one I've used the most since I used to work with Joomla 1.5. Still if you have worked or prefer to have a website that uses another CMS like Joomla, Wordpress, or even custom written by hand we can and will use it instead. With Freelance Solutions you are the client and you can have a site however you wish. We try to constantly consult and if possible work in person with you to achieve the customized website that best works for you.
